It was humanity’s shameful death when one after another child died in Baba Raghav Das Medical College. No tragedy can be greater than the death of helpless infants. The tragedy has started a debate where some are criticizing the government and others are saying that the hospital authorities are responsible. It is being reported that the oxygen cylinder supplier stopped supplying cylinders because the government-run hospital wasn’t paying dues amounting to Rs. 70 lakh despite repeated reminders. Whereas, the government is saying that it’s the illness that has caused the deaths and not the oxygen supply.

The government or the hospital, whosoever is responsible, the main concern here is that we have lost 60 innocent infants. Thousands of posts are flooding social media and criticizing both the government and the hospital for being absolutely insensitive toward the loss of lives of the children.

In the debate of criticizing each other, people have now shifted from the major issue that is the deaths of those little children.

Indian Cricketer, Virender Sehwag. source

Sehwag is popular for posting sarcastic and humorous tweets. Looks like Tweeple are not pleased with his tweets on the Gorakhpur tragedy. Instead of talking about the tragedy, Sehwag posted tweets about 50,000 deaths that have taken place due to encephalitis since 1978.
The cricketer talked about the history of Gorakhpur that says that almost 25,000 children have lost their lives to encephalitis till now. There are different reports circulating on the internet stating the two different causes of the death of these 60 children. Pointing at one, Sehwag posted a factual tweet and expressed his grief over the loss of these 60 innocent children to encephalitis.

Here’s what Sehwag posted:

Sehwag’s tweet received a huge backlash. It made Tweeple angry because Sehwag didn’t criticize the government of the hospital and started talking about history.

Here’s how Twitterati reacted to Sehwag’s tweet:
