It seems like it’s the season of B-Town memoirs and biographies. Every other day some film stars release their memoirs or biographies in the form of a book. Just recently, Nawazuddin Siddiqui launched his memoir and created a storm, now it’s the time to go through the pages of yesteryear actress Hema Malini who also recently launched her biography titled ‘Beyond The Dream Girl’.
But what’s a biography without a few shocking or interesting revelations?
While Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ‘An Ordinary Life: A Memoir’ has revealed various scandalous incidents of his past love life and relationships with his former lovers, Hema Malini’s ‘Beyond The Dream Girl’, written by Ram Kamal Mukherjee, holds some major food for thought. However, it also comes with quite a revelation which the public have been in dark for years.

An excerpt from Hema’s biography reveals how she finally started talking to her stepson Sunny Deol.
It is said that their relationship was always a complex one seeing as how Hema is married to Sunny’s father Dharmendra. But it is said that there was someone who broke the ice between them and it happened completely by chance!
They started talking to each other because of a person very dear to both of them. And the person was none other than actress Dimple Kapadia.
According to the book, Sunny had only started speaking to his step mother, Hema, because of Dimple Kapadia.

It all happened during the shoot of ‘Dil Aashna Hai’, which starred Dimple as Divya Bharti’s mother. Hema Malini recalls,
“I wanted to shoot a paragliding scene with (Mithun Chakraborty) in ‘Dil Aashna Hai’, and there was an aeroplane scene which was required for a song sequence. A few days before the shoot, a pilot had met with an accident and Dimple was very scared to do the shoot. She informed Sunny, and out of concern, Sunny came and met me. I assured Sunny that she would be safe, and that’s when I started talking to him.”
Dimple and Hema Malini go long back. It is said that Dimple is the only closest friend of the eternal dream girl. It is believed that if there’s one true B-Townie friend Hema can count on, it is Dimple. Well, now isn’t that quite a revelation?
