Terrorists on Monday attacked a bus carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims. The bus was returning from Baltal after performing the yatra. According to the reports, seven pilgrims lost their lives and nineteen were severely injured, including 3 policemen.

The terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims who were returning after visiting the holy shrine that is located in a narrow gorge at the end of a valley nearly 50 km from Pahalgam. It is being considered one of the worst terror strikes in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the source, it is not clear how many terrorists were there, but they first fired at an armored police car and the pilgrims got hit by bullets when the terrorists started firing indiscriminately. A passenger whose life got saved out of luck said,
We were sleeping when the firing started from both the sides. We don’t know how many people were there.
