Gautam Gambhir is a hero on the cricket field. He has, on more than one occasion, come to the rescue of the Indian cricket team. Not only that, Gambhir has led the IPL-side Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) from the front helping the team lift the trophy twice.

Gautam Gambhir leads the KKR team in IPL.
Gambhir is also a man who is avowedly patriotic and believes in not mincing words on political and social issues concerning the nation.
This time, the cricketer is being praised for a very noble deed. It concerns this little girl.

She is Zohra, the 5-year-old daughter of ASI Abdul Rasheed of the J&K police who attained martyrdom on August 28 in an encounter with terrorists in Anantnag.
People were deeply moved by the photograph.

There is no doubt that Gambhir, too, must have felt touched by the photograph. Today, he posted this:
Zohra,I can’t put u 2 sleep wid a lullaby but I’ll help u 2 wake up 2 live ur dreams. Will support ur education 4 lifetime #daughterofIndia pic.twitter.com/XKINUKLD6x

Gambhir announced that he will take all responsibility of Zohra’s education for life.
This is not the first time that Gambhir has made such an announcement. In April this year, he had announced that Gautam Gambhir Foundation will finance the education of the children of 25 CRPF jawans killed in a Naxal terror attack in Sukma, Chhattisgarh.
No wonder Twitterati is praising Gambhir for his noble gesture.
GG you are such an inspiration! We will also be a part of your cause! watever is possible!

Time and again, Gambhir has been vociferous in his support for the armed forces and the Indian cricket team.
In June this year, he was praised for his strong response to Kashmiris who celebrated Pakistan’s victory over India in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy.
He was one of the few celebrities to strongly condemn the attack on CRPF jawans by local Kashmiri boys in Budgam in April. And when journalist Sagarika Ghose tried to troll him for that comment, Twitterati came out in Gambhir’s support.
